Cloudy's Cafe, Gobble Gobble! November 18, 2008
Previous Cafe is http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/...d.php?t=100090
Cloudy's Cafe Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie. The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines: this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone * no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner * any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences) -a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately! * Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!) * do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it. Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course! The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Hello and have some muffins! We've got chocolate, blueberry, apple and cinnamon oat bran, so take your pick or have some coffee or tea or check out the endless M&M jar....if Bungleau will let you near enough.. *teehee* and tell us about your day! Or your car or your vacation or kids or whatever you feel like sharing!
Bought a turkey the other day. It's amazing how inexpensive they are around the Thanksgiving holiday. Of course we got a frozen one, but still, 59 cents a pound isn't bad. We actually got two since the freezer was mostly empty and hubby had defrosted it.

First non-Cloudy! Woot!
*edit* There. Sometimes, the smallest things can really brighten your day :cloudysfave: So is Thanksgiving at your place, Cloudy? Will it be a first Thanksgiving, or are you an old pro at maging the turkey, stuffing, and so on? We're heading over to Detroit for T-day, to my dad's side of the family. My in-laws are heading over to Germany, and for some reason, didn't want extra baggage Chocolate muffins over here, please... I'll even trade some of the extra-special M&Ms for one Going through our first rounds of snow... nothing sticking for too long, but enough that I'm not willing to get on the roof to do the Christmas lights yet. I may have missed my chance... I did find a neat thing that I want for Christmas... the Roll-Up Drum Kit Just the thing for when I'm on the road...

Damn... found this:
*NOT* at all what I wanted... the software might be cool, but those flimsy excuses for sticks? I shudder to think what might happen if you played with some *real* sticks... *heads off to find another Christmas gift...* *edit* Response time doesn't look too good either...

They might've at least had someone with some talent do that. Or maybe they couldn't find anyone with talent willing to?

That is another good point...
At least it makes me feel better about my pathetic attempts at drum solos. I can fill, I just can't do a stop-the-show solo. Not even copying someone else's

I got into a fight with gravity tonight and it won yet again leaving me with a very bruised body and 8 stitches in my head.
