I fought and killed Irenicus at the tree of life, and he gives me the line ," You...killed...me" or whatever, but then I get a blue error message saying that something is wrong with the dialogue response, and I don't get sent to hell, my party keeps attacking Irenicus, but nothing happens!
I have Solaufien, Kelsey and TOB installed. Could one of these be causing the problem? Please don't reply unless you can help!

seems from looking at posts from this forum... ToB gives some people random glitches. You can try uninstalling Tob then doing it, and get the newest patch. Thats all the advice i can give.. havent gotten to that part yet

you have Solaufien and Kelsey... er, how did these get in your party? more than likely, since there are so many individual NPC dialogues at that part, the non-standard (hacked in or via mods) NPC's are screwing up the scripting, which controls when dialogues happen. youd have to check the script for that area.

Assuming amergin is correct (I dont think so but he might be) then you should be able to switch your current dialogue.tlk file for the backup you made before installing any mods (with any luck you did anyway), and then finishe the irenicus fight. Hopefuly youll get sent to hell and then you can switch the files back.
Otherwise try the usual cleaning of discs and re-installing the game. ToB should not cause this problem itself.

I believe it could be the combination of both the hacked NPC's and ToB.... They both do not mix together smoothly at the moment, they have been doing many tests to soleve this but, either try deleting one of the hacked NPC's or deleting ToB....
