The Supreme Court recently struck down as unconstitutional the provisions in a tough new media law that dealt with publishing "falsehoods" ...

in Zimbabwe.

So does this mean it is now legal to lie in the Zimbabwe press? Is this related to Nike's case in the US?

Unfortunately it is legal to lie everywhere in the world. Only if somebody could disprove you AND prove that he has been harmed by this lie, he would be able to make a case.
But if USA Today prints "The Earth is flat" on their frontpage tomorrow and supports this statement with an article on the inside that relies on false information and dishonest research there's no way of getting to them legally.

Hey that's great news from that guy from the Post. Looks like he'll still be able to work now, as long as he's willing to go to Zimbabwe
