Question for the Trekkies. I'm currently stuck in the first mission of episode 7. After the enemy strike force retreats, a number of kamikazi freighters warp in. My reaction is to boost power to my weapons and engines, target their impulse engines with quantum torpedoes and try to slow them down with tractor beams. Unfortunately, this approach just won't seem to work and I'm getting rather tired of replaying the first part of the mission. So guys.. what would Picard have done?

Full power to engines and shields, try moving around at full speed, get them right behind you and then fire aft torpedoes. Didn't play the game, only the Demo, but that's what I'd have done.

It's not quite the same situation. These things don't attack you. Instead, they're on a roaming course with a space station and almost impossible to stop.

Can you ram them off course? How about zapping one with weapons and ramming the other?

There are about eight of them, and they go out with a pretty big bang. There is also the factor of luck, if the Sovereign (your ship) isn't close enough to the freighters when they warp in, the chance of catching them is practically zero. The most irritating aspect is that they won't appear until after you've fought a lengthy battle. So each time you lose, you get to start all over again

You get a Sovereign? Cool. Anyway, I can only wish you luck with this mission, untill I get my hands on the game that's all I can do. Except, when the last ship of the lenghty battle is left, try to lure him to wherever the freighters warp in and kill it there.

Gee, I played and finished this game, but don't remember what I did for that mission... I'll have to try to replay it and see what happens.
