. . . . . First, you have to go to the graveyard district where you will rescue a man who was buried alive. Then talk to the graveyard keeper who will point you in direction of the bridge district. There, keep your eyes open for a man dressed completely in red.(southwest section)He will enter the house behind him, where, on the second floor, the hostage is, too. A note that can be found inside this house will tell you about the ransom.

ahhh
i imported my save file from bg1 and the golden pantaloons isent there... is this supposed to happen?

Did you by any chance go through the tutorial? They disappear if you go through that... I don't get why, but they do.
