i believe at one time in the past, you had mentioned that you use a tablet for art on the computer, i was wondering what kind of tablet you used. i'm thinking of getting one soon.
Anybody else that has one please share your opinions.

Depending on what you want to spend, Wacom has tablets ranging from $99 to $1899. And from their low-end, they use PhotoShop's pressure-sensitive tools. VERY nice....
Planning on gettign another one soon... [ 04-16-2002, 06:21 PM: Message edited by: RudeDawg ]

I've only used a tablet for one thing - when I used to work in Facilities Management we had AutoCAD which we used for doing building plans and office furniture layouts - but that was one specifically for use with that particular version of AutoCAD and was used with a puck rather than a mouse. It was great though, made life a LOT easier.

Nice!
Does anyone know of any good free design software I could dl? (not illegally though!) I do archaeological illustration, and would love to try getting some of my work onto the PC - for 3D rendering and the like We are talking scale drawings of artefacts and site plans, so if you have any suggestions I would be grateful. I can't afford to run out and buy the latest software

Sketching comes to me rather naturally and I dont use a sketchpad.... I think that if you click and drag with the wrist on a mouse as small as the one on an old iMac you can easily mimick the motion of a pen.. quite easily in my opion... perhaps you find it all very hard to use mice to draw but just look at what I did on my G3 laptop while typing this with my left hand
Stick two forks in me cuz im ambidextrouse... and umm done sketching lol... That was quite fun to do actually, took a bit of concentration lol... I prefer to make smoothe single lines rather than rough sketches... I think that was rather Digi-Charrat inspired don't you? I was listening to this song at the time too So the inspiration didn't come from the music... hmmm i dunnow where,i just moved my hands and an image from my subconceouse came out... |

Hey, that's a great picture! You have a real talent there!
However freehand doesn't cut it if you're doing draughting rather than art My drawings need to be exact, accurate, and to scale. [ 04-16-2002, 08:02 PM: Message edited by: Epona ]

I'm a tablet-worshipper... I use it so much that I often tried to 'write' on the piece of paper with my wacom pen
I found mine from a reliable seller at ebay.com for $100 less than the site but I'm certain if you search through google.com you'll find many sources. here's piece of work I did for a friend of mine with my tablet a free cookie to anyone who figure who this person in the pic is [ 04-16-2002, 11:07 PM: Message edited by: adam warlock ]
