Can you actually get in to the Mountain of Giants, or it is just there for the hell of it?

Every so often, something comes along that makes me wonder if my head's attached. I don't recall ever seeing anything about a Mountain of Giants in W&W, so I don't think you can get in there. In fact, the only mountain range I can think of is Dragonspire, and you get in there through the back door.

Where are you seeing it, or seeing reference to it? I'm curious...

There is an entrance to a dungeon in a tree stump just nearby the mountains, but the mountain range itself cannot be entered.

Wonder if in the "orginal" plans for the game something more was to be done in these odd areas on the map - but in the game as it is, the Mountain of Giants is not accessable.
ah well

Ahhh... I don't know that my copy came with a map, or if I put the map someplace "safe"

In any case, that area is outside the three map ranges. If you draw rough squares on the map, the Valeia region is the bottom right, the Ishad N'ha-ha-ha regions is about in the middle, and the Brimloch Roon region is in the top left. The bottom left and top right just aren't accessible.... kind of like the land of Vori in... MM7, I think it was.

It would really have been cool if they had left that back for an expansion or something similar.... we can always dream, can't we?

On the map it is even marked as an entrance into the mountains thmselves. It is the Boogre Caves. On the map the exit to Doshi-Gin's grove is even indicated as coming from that mountain range.
