kiwidopc pats the couch next to her and offers the seat to Davros. Ballybunion - been through it a few times going between Doolin and Dingle. So do you head off to Ireland often as well? Absolutely amazing place.

Sorry Kiwidoc, I waited around for a while, but looks like I fell asleep while talking to you this time (geesh, Cloudysparkle two days ago, and you yesterday - this is becoming a bad habit of mine ). Ireland is a fantastic place - not a musician myself, but I love sitting down at night for a session in one of the many bars. I can sing along with most of the favorites now, and this time I hope to get to know that Irish National Anthem a bit better (they always play it at closing time, and I see my share of closing times when I am on holiays ). Supposedly I visit for the Golf, but Ireland is so much more isn't it.

Davros, most of the sessions I sit in on are a bit different from the standard singalongs. They are mainly instrumentals and if there is singing it isnt "old standards" so much as slow ballads and everyone listens.

When I was on Inshinmaan one May I asked the barman when closing time was. He answered me "Septemmber" he he - I gave up and went to bed at 5:30 am - he was still serving

*Cloudbringer drags herself into the cafe, grabs a cup of hot tea and lemon and flops in a chair, exhausted.* I have got to stop staying up all night! Sigh...

Now if someone here would kindly invent the 48 hour day?

Hi everyone!

I started a new Cafe thread. It's been my experience that longer ones take too long to load/ read through for many of you so to help make it easier to get through and encourage conversation, new thread is here:

Well it's father's day and mine is 12,000 miles away, and I miss him. Just lost my father in law six weeks ago as well so its a bit of a double whammy. Dont worry, I am doing OK but just a bit sad. Is anyone else here in the same position?

So this is where you've been hiding away...
