anyone expecting this game? its coming out soon. it looks like a xcom aftermath. one thing nice about this is the real time.

yeah there is pause on this one. but the portraits and graphics looks like cartoon.. ugh.. but will see.

I hope it still has the unique "learning by doing" take on character development of the first one.

I loved the way that in order to increase a trooper's aptitude in a certain skill you had to make use of it.

Want your trooper to get stronger? Let them carry a lot of heavy gear.
Want to increase your trooper's accuracy? Let them see some actual action.
Want to increase your trooper's stamina? Be sure to have them run around a lot.

I'd really like to see that take on character development transferred to an RPG.

Well Morroowind has something like this but only to a certain degree...

I have played all 3 of the UFO/X-COM series but I only manage to finish X-COM: Apocalypse. IMO, Apocalypse is the easiest of the three.

I too played only the first three parts. Unfortunatly after that they changed the gamestyle. Maybe with UFO-Aftermath they return to their old quality.
