Speed up making money at start by creating sorceress or wizard and transfering their 1500 gold AND their starting Spellbook to the character you are going to keep. When the latter's pack is full of spellbooks, sell them for about 1500 gold each, and then resume building up his/her wealth. You are doubling your gold return each time this way. You can spend an hour or so doing this and then start your game with a 500,000 gold bankroll, which is nice indeed.

Aaaaaaaaah - the old "Gold Cheat" *sighs nostalgically*. When you are a thief with over 135 million in the bank it all seems so long ago LOL.
