Okay, for those who don't know, the way to get the Illithium for the Mace and do the artist quest is to give Sir Sarles the alloy, he hates it and leaves. You then go to the temple of Helm, and the head guy says he rather likes the alloy for the imperfection, and compliments you on a job well done.

You can then take the Mace and the Illithium to Cromwell for forging.

My question is this: although it has improved abilities, for undead that need +4 weapons or better to hit, how does it work? Can it hit any Undead regardless? If so, its not so bad, but I didn't get a chance to use it against Kangaxx (used Carsomyr instead... and I'm curious about the Mace working against more powerful Undead.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hmm, hard to tell!
I guess it will inflict some damage, since it is made aspecially for killing undead. But again, I am not sure.

see ya!

I found the mace of disruption the ultimate undead killer. Even our beloved demi-lich fails the save regularly (5 times now) and is killed quickly.
On top of that you become immune to level drain. Minsc dual-wielding daystar and the mod+2 clears bodhi's lair almost alone.

i think you can only get an instant kill with it against higher creatures like liches - so it won't damage them like a normal +4 weapon, they'll still have to save versus death for each hit landed.

I hit Demi-lich with it for 2 hp damage and it killed him. But, he was at "Barely Injured" when i hit him. So i think that when it hits a powerful undead, it has a chance to kill them instantly
