Fences not accepting fenced goods

When I try to sell my stolen property to the shady merchants in the slums district, they don't take it. What's wrong?

Maybe even they have standards, or have enough stolen property they'd like to unload.

Now, if there were a place you could go where a community exchanges gold and stolen property freely, you'd be set. Otherwise, you might look deeper in a different district.

I could be wrong about this, but as I recall only one of the two shady merchants in the Slums will accept stolen goods. The one that can be found by the temple of Ilmater will, while the one by the Jansen homestead won't. Have you tried both? If so, then have you tried any of the other fences in the city?

I have tried both, and the thieves guild doesn't exist anymore.

Are there fences in the bridge district?

There is one in the lower lower lower docks district. By where you meet/kill mook

There is one Fence in the Bridge District, but she only appears during the mid-day. You can find her next stall on the left from the main merchant.

Eh? I seem to recall trying to sell to her before with no luck; however, I believe that one appears at night by the house where you find Neb.

My favorite fence is Jayes, who can be found on the right side of the Promenade at night. I've sold/stolen the little fella blind many a time.

But if I'm not miataken it was smething introduced by Baldurdash? In order to prevent the exploit of drinking potions of thieving and stealing-selling-stealing that cloak or mace till you cant carry any more money?

I used this this only once on ky very first run before I got patch or baldurdash, never tried it later to see if it works.

Are you sure? Perhaps this is an effect from Baldurdash? I distinctly remember turning several fences into a bank account for my own personal entertainment once upon a time.
