At Vincent's mention of Tao returning, Ana too was up and ready to begin fresh. She had been in communion with her goddess Ahurani Fairhand and now Ana felt both replenished and excited about a new quest that had come to her in vision. She did not have the particulars of it yet, but it had sufficed the goddess to mention that the four of them had important matters to be attending to soon, and more would be revealed as it was needed.

Coming back around to the "here and now", Ana now realized a cougar was in their midst and Vincent was tending to it. Yevaud was honing his art. And as realized before, Tao was returning to the group.

OOC>>>It's a crappy start, but I had to put something down. I figure once we get going again, I'll get into the mindset of my Ana again and we'll have the fun we used to. Come on guys! Let's get it going!

Dust slowly settles on long untouched tomes. It creeps into holes and crevices. It covers any exposed surface, preserving intact whatever is underneath. No movement disturbs the calm of the unused chambers. No one moves to open a door or a window. Rats don't scurry on the cold, stone floors of the temple.

Even the stench of death has left this place, leaving only ghastly white skeletons in its wake. No one knows who they were or why they had to die. They could have been agents of evil, slaughtered by chivalrous knights or maybe they were priests of a caring god killed by forces of darkness. It does not matter. They are long gone, and even memories others once had of them are gone, lying in tombs with those who had them.

Many centuries have passed since, lords, both evil and good have risen and fallen. The one known as the Modding Mage is most probably but another chapter in the endless struggle between the forces of good and evil, albeit a chapter longer than most.

Yet for months evil has slept and nothing has moved. Its agents have seemingly disappeared. And in the face of this unseen enemy, the forces of good seem to grow more and more complacent, seemingly not acting on the inactivity of their foe.

Under the surface of things, nothing has stopped moving...
