It was a cool crisp morning. President Reagan was in the Big House. My part in this day of history is only very minute, but hey, I was there. The location was Fulda, Germany (Fulda Gap), Delta Company (Tank Pure) 1st Squadron, 11th ACR (Armored Cavalry Regiment). We were on the border, conducting normal 'Frontier of Freedom' missions, when the call came in. We departed OP-A (Observation Post), and moved down and around the corner to the big border crossing gate. Here, we observed the gates open, and the border guards only checking for proper paperwork as both East and West meet for the first time since the end of WWII.

9 November 1989 the unifaction of Germany began.

9th (or 10th in my time zone) of november 1989
I was 2 years, 9 months old.
I assume i was here at my home in Orange (NSW Australia). And at this time (1:56 AM) i would have almost deffinatly been asleep in my cot.
Not as interisting as your story, but i was alive.

God, was it really 15 years ago? I was sophomore in high school at the time, and this time of year the academic team would have been in full swing. Erm, yes.... well, I'll just collect my pocket protector and move along now.

I think I was a 3 month old foetus.
I wish I was alive to see that turning point in history, though.

Six and a half I'd have been, and quite definitely asleep in my bed, somewhere in the county of Somerset, England.

I was 3 years and a month old, and I was probably asleep somewhere, or making a mess of things.

I can vaguely remember seeing people hammering on the wall and cheering on the news.
