Pretty much as the title states...

With the 80mph winds last night, the roof has started lifting off the house....

My bedroom is the worst affected, as its on the 3rd floor...but its not good!

We've got cracks all over the celing of my room...luckily, its dropped back down, but if the wind keeps up it could go!

Oh no!

We've got high winds, but nothing like that. I've only recorded 43mph so far.

Mm, I did notice some strong winds last night. Our conseratory was rattling a bit and our trees were bending further than I think the laws of physics allow

Well, I didn't lose my roof, but I almost lost a good half of my paper round this morning. You never realise how embarrasing it is to run down a road jumping on newspapers to stop them flying away, until it happens.

Just went out and did a survey this AM. We lost a large branch from an old oak tree. The thing fell across one of my driveways. Guess I'll be out with a chain saw in a bit cutting the thing up.

I Know how that feels!

The winds last night we're quite strong here as well (North East). A lot of fences around the area have been blown down, it actually snapped a 6" concrete post! A lot of tiles on the roofs have been blown off. I actually walked (as opposed to bike) my paper round this morning, and I still struggled in the winds. Folding the papers to fit them in the letter boxes was near impossible sometimes.

Well I was drivin across the A66 last night, and the wind overturned HGV's.

I usually live in South Shields with my girlfriend, and the wind took out next doors greenhouse!

Dang that blows!

Hope the wind dies down soon Lavi, at least you still have power. Around here with winds like that we'd all be sitting in the dark.
