As you will probably have gathered from my previous posts my solution to almost every problem in the Gael Serran is stacking crates. Lately the stacking of crates, chests, and other furniture to reach otherwise inaccessible places has become quite an obsession to me.

Well, yesterday evening I was at it again, and I just thought I would let all you fine ladies and gentlemen in on my lack of findings.
When walking around the main building of Shurugeon Castle the innermost part of the building is always out of the party's line of sight and thus does not become visible on the map. As a result of this the spirit eye spell will not reveal anything that might be on top of the roof. I found it virtually impossible to jump from the castle walls to the main building - even with a couple of chests extending from the wall to narrow the gap. (Possibly some bug at work). So I had to stack crates from the ground to the roof. And still the last part of the way from the top crate to the roof was very difficult to jump. Finally I made it and accessed the roof, walked around for a bit, and found - as I said - nothing whatsoever.
Also when I first completed the game I gained access to the balcony above the pool just inside Shurugeon Castle by way of stacking. There was nothing up there either.

I just thought I would let you know.

I'm impressed! I'd stacked crates to get to the balcony inside the castle before, but never thought to climb on top of the place!

I wonder what other areas you'll be able to get to... hmm....

Oh you can go a whole lot of places! I'd been all over SH. Castle and Serpent Temple. Never did get on top of Skull Castle though. Rather fun that you can get to these unusual places even if there isn't anything particularly interesting to find. The view is great!

*cough* Could this be a way to bypass Anephas shrine? Instead of entering it you can simply walk on top of it. Has anyone tried that yet?

Keep us posted on your stacking bsftcs.

I'm *ahem* thinking it might be a way to bypass Dragonspire... Grab all those unopened chests, crates from Erzebette's house, and so on, and away you go!

Maybe Lady Tigra will do a solo encore just to see... but Missy's got to finish things up first

And perhaps even a *cough* shortcut past the oracles. Of course you would need a good many chests. Of course you wouldn´t have to complete any quests in the game this way. Well maybe one or two.

What? You don't have Create Portal and Teleport? My, my, my....

Hmmm... I wonder if the crate comes with you if you're carrying it? Gonna have to try that soon.

Otherwise, yes, it will be a lot of running around... but still less, potentially, than going through the dragonspire.

In fact I jumped from the wall to the tower of Shurugeon Castle, threw out all the items of furniture from D'Soto's room, and then started stacking them.
I believe if one had the patience, one could sit around and wait for a bird to fly over the particular place one wanted to gain access to, cast the create portal spell on the bird and then teleport to the portal once the bird had left the spot. That has helped me when in water: cast the spell on a fish and then teleport there. Also with the help of roaches and rats one can easily bypass gates.

Really? I always thought that the portal had to be cast on a character, and then teleport cast on that same character.

You've just opened worlds of possible experiments! Talk about a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card!

I can hardly wait until tonight!
