Three Stones

Can someone please help me? I need to know how to get the third stone in the asylum dungeon. I figured out that in the room with the 11 statues you have to place the objects from the chest on the statues, but i think Im missing one object, or cant get them in the right order. I know the stone isnt really needed to get out of that place, but Ive killed the warewolf and the demon that appear through the portal; what comes next?

The order of the statues is this:

Start from the right side of the doorway into the room and work around clockwise.

1 Grinning Skull
2 Hourglass
3 Mirror
4 Gagged Man
5 Sword Medallion
6 Sun Medallion
7 Sundial
8 Flask of Water
9 Worn Out Boots
10 Golden Circlet
11 Star Medallion

Ruby Stone: Pit Fiend
Opal Stone: Greater Wolfwere
Sapphire Stone: Djinni

This is one of the parts that I hate... here's how to get past it, quick:

ALMOST ALL of the items in the chest are already IN ORDER (going clockwise form the door) EXCEPT for the Water. Find the Water, put it in the statue which wants Water, and then the rest require no thought.
