Why would stoned monsters lose their scales? They might think that they did, but that wouldn't affect you, would it? I need to make that creature...a Pale Green dragon with a new breath attack...it emits a spray of cannabis smoke =)Anyone caught in the spray must save at -5 to breath or suffer from hallucination and intelligence loss for the next 5 rounds. Penalties are halved if you are in the room but not in the spray. This affects everyone, including the dragon =)

Ok, I'll stop spamming now.

Disintegrating the scales along with the dragon is logical. Keeping the scales can be likened to getting caught in a nuclear blast and leaving behind your skin. A dragon's scales are quite strong, but not enough to stop a disintegration spell.

well in the game you can just kill a stoned enemy and grab the loot BUT the ad&d rules say you cannot if you want to save the stuff. you have to depetrify instead and kill your enemy who has 1 hp left.

Stop being so serious. I meant stoned as in high, not petrified.
