Youre all wrong. easiest way to kill a mantrap (especially when you're cornered). Remove all chars except for one FAST Fighter from the party. Run up to them - hack em to death.

The trick is called hit-recovery. If you manage to hit em fast enough they wont be able to retaliate. I played this game solo and my lv9 Paladin made salad of em.

My own technique for dealing with the salads involve hand to slaw fighting. Worked for me but wasn't necessarily good advice for other players of the game.

We really don't need to haul out these very old threads. These days we tend to point new players to really good old threads rather than bumping them to the top of the board order again. Once in a while is okay, but please let's avoid doing too much bumping.

I like my Mantraps barbequed with Firestorm sauce. It's quick easy & delish with toasted ratling on the side.
