well,I'm at a loss,everything checks out ok,but I still get that stupid error,I guess I'll just go back to Windows 98,I had better luck with the game when 98 was installed,looks like it's dual boot time.

Don't leave just yet... while it will probably work (lots!) better on Win98, here's the screen shot of my Compatibility tab for running W&W. I'm on XP SP2... and aside from having to kill deep6 when I exit, everything works fine *twitch* *twitch*

3) Cheers to me for a successful first run tonight of W&W on FreeBSD under a WINE shell ... yup, it's silly, but the fact is awesome

3a) Am doing a solo Rogue, no class changes ... been done before, but it's still a hard run. Am in Dragon Spire now.
