Yeah love that song And Charlie's got good taste

Yeah I'd agree that Eminem wasn't really gangsta - it just doesn't fit him. I still like to get the old NWA tracks out sometimes though. Gotta love "100 Miles and Runnin" - the energy in that song is wicked:

"Since I'm stereotyped to kill and destruct,
That's one of the main reasons I don't give a f**k"

"Runnin like a n*gga I hate to lose
Show me on the news,
But I hate to be abused
I knew it was a set up
So now I'm gonna get up,
even if the FBI wants me to shut up
Now I got ten thousand n*ggas strong
Got everybody singin my f**k the police song
And while they treat my group like dirt
Their whole f**kin family is wearin our T-shirt"

They were a brilliant band, great albums, full of true hate and acidic anger They *NWA* reminded me of 1976/7 and the birth of punk before it disapeared up it's own backside. Which I'm afraid IMO rap has also done several years ago

Anyone got 2Pac's R U Still Down album?

I love the song Thug Style, it's got a cold, raw energy:

"My fake friends say they love me but I know they lie
cause in the dark see their hearts' full of homicide
My mama cried when they took me off to jail
only me inside the cell
Straight locked up in this hell
I hear some sucka screaming like the demon's inside
Will 'em away in the morning
Only the strong survive
I cry, but in my own way
Swallow my pride, pick a reason to hide
from all the n*ggas that die (Rest in Peace)
Cemetary full of brothers I buried
It's going down,
Even now I wonder, will I still be around?
My hometown is the gutter
I was born as wild
Came up out the dust with my heartless style"

I have. Isn't he part of Redman's crew?
Ooops, I'm thinking of Kieth Murray....
One of the rappers featured in Def Jam Vendetta.
