While continuing my adventures, this time with a full party, I came across something quite extraordinary.
Most of us have encountered the ever elusive Harespia, who has led many a traveller astray with her tales of fortune.

But what, I wonder, would she be trying to con this poor soul into believing?

"I shall reveal your fortune for just 300 pieces of gold."

"And tonight, in Nymph Lake, local fortuneteller Harespia found out the hard way that some of the things you read on the internet are true. Curious about a posting which indicated that a horse could walk upstairs but not downstairs, she invited a passing adventurer to try his luck. The horse made it up, and true to form, would not descend the stairs.

"Nearby traffic was tied up for hours while a search was made for a teleport or vanish scroll, or perhaps a knowledgeable warlock. Unfortunately, few spellcasters of sufficient power are available in Nymph Lake, and when a Vanish scroll was made available, the Nymph Lake Chapter of the Gael Serran Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSSPCA) refused to allow it to be used.

"The GSSPCA pointed out that the horse would be reappear at the same height, some two stories up, and the resulting fall would inevitably prove fatal. Harespia, at this point frustrated with the horse and the sudden loss of business, offered to kill the horse right there, but amazingly, the horse withstood everything thrown at it, include several firestorms, a meteorstorm, and three GSSPCA members.

"Order was restored when Mekdawa, a nearby troll indigent "magic man", appeared with a special potion that transformed the horse into a newt. Fortunately the horse got better, but that was when it was outside the Gypsy Fortunetelling Studio."

Perhaps I shall... but I've got another book to get finished first. Then, I'll see what I can do...
