Infopop released version 6.5 of their Forum Software! I've been waiting for this release and skipped 6.4 because it didn't have as many new features.

UBB.classic™ 6.5 adds the following new features:

Featured topics. You can "make sticky" a topic. This will keep the topic at the top of the topic list. (Previous versions such as the current one required a mod to add Sticky posts)

Private Message notification.

Signature length limit adjustments for admin. (Oh Yeah!!!)

Admins now have the ability to set the board to send a welcome PM to new registrants. The private message is customizable from the control panel.

User adjustable date/time view.

And a bunch of other stuff! I'll start the upgrade on the 20th. It's just an update, so as always, no one will have to re-register or anything..

"User adjustable date/time view"

This sounds like a very useful feature for those of us looking at a different star system at night. I’m looking foreword to the changes Z.

Boy, we are having a real spring clean, here in the house of choc.

The User adjustable Day/Date will help quite a bit, Z! Especially for our European, Asian, and Antipodean members. Good job!

YIPPEEE! I was on the ubb forums a few days ago and saw the upgrade stuff was coming out... fantastic, Z! GOOD stuff for us here at IW!

Now if only the 'open can when Choc demands' feature worked.....
