Since this is in the Baulders Gate II Forum, and not in General discussions or AD&D novels Forum, then I shall answer as if you were referring to BGII. Even though Minsc won the popular vote as overall best NPC, I must say that Imoen is my favorite, because I like her thief skills, as well as the new mage abilities she now has...and the most fun is her story...Ever since Jon Irenicus screwed up her mind, she has been more dark in her personality. I like that. It puts some unpredictibility with her. Who knows...she may turn against me at the end of Throne of Bhaal...

Jarlaxe because hes fun mad person its a pity Salvatore can only manage to write the most pitiful drivul these days. Most hated is Elminster BLOODY MUNCHKIN.

If you include Dragonlance im voting for(yes I know youve guessed it) Rasitlin after him Tanis

If this post is not limited to BGII, then it should be moved to another forum.

I think pretty much everybody despises the overbearing beardy weirdy Stat monster but this isnt an elminster hate post.

I dont think you should throw things out of this discussion board because its not strictly bg2 it gives the place more variety.

If its BG2 only i'd say Minsc is my overall favourite as I just love him, had he been real i give him a big hug...I also Like Keldorn, as he is damn cool...
Then there is Yoshimo...And we cant forget Jaheira...I like Edwins accent, and valygars kewl hair and beard....Just being fair ...I can't possibly decide, they are all so great!

I did also like Dakkon in Planscape..

And if we can move into the realms of Fallout...I must say i loved Marcus and Cassidy.......

However don't we see a pattern... Hmmmm sulik-minsc both r dumb but good
Cassidy- Keldorn Old and hard
Marcus-Valygar Tough yet compassionate
Maybe im just ranting, anyway STOP......

Sorry, I was only going by the No off-topic spamming rule.
I would rather not have Memnoch after me...his Sunrest Sunshock (a powerful meteor storm) comes straight out of the Nether Scrolls, lost by the Netherese all those years ago...
Nasty little thing, too.

The Nether Scrolls must have come from the Regions of Nether
.
My favourite:
Khelben Blackstaff (non-BG2 - hope he appears in later game)
Coran (BG1)
Edwin (BG2)

Non BG2 - Joel the priest of finder and his master Jedidiah.

BG2 - Xan. He was a grumpy elf but his sarcasm is just so damn funny when he's in battle
