Can I still be an assassin

I killed the guy thats sends you on the assassins mission. Is there any other way to become an assassin.

Not in normal gameplay..

..However, Wyv might be able to hack you a dagger.

Welcome to the large, exclusive club of players who have offed that rat too soon! (I did in my first game too!)

The easiest solution is to load an older save in which he is still alive and play through again now that you are wiser.

The other alternative is to hack the dagger. There is a thread on the board which explains how to do that and includes the code for the Assassin's Dagger.

IF you are wary of doing that yourself, I can do it for you BUT I need you to not only zip up your game file but use WINSPLIT to break it into smaller pieces (5 is nice) and email each separately along with a batch file to put them back together again. My email does not like large attachments. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I dont want to hack my game I would rather play straight the first time through. I dont mind a hint or two but I will live with my mistake & go without an assassin. Next time through I'll remember not to "off the rat". Thanks for the offer.

How far back would you have to go, if you reload an old save?

I am already in the pyramid. It's too far back & I dont have an old save near it.

It's no great loss. The only Big advantage to being an assassin...is the Grue Morde' EXP bug. Considering your already in the pyramid...your doing fine without it.
