Non-Detection prevents anyone from dispelling your invisibility. Of course, you need to be invisible by some other means. Some creatures can see invisible and ignore both your invisibility and your non-detection -- that's because they're not dispelling your invisibility, they're seeing you in spite of it.

Mine seems to work just fine. Of course, I made one or two slight alterations to make sure it really is a Cloak of Non-Detection. Oh, well.

Yes I know that you must be invisible to have an effect.
The problem is that even when my assassin is hidden in shadows a true sight spell reveals him.
@azred
what alterations?

I remember reading a more detailed thread about this cloak some days ago. All I remember is that the cloak supercedes the powers of the actual spell. You can't knock off the cloak effect but anything it's trying to protect "can" be knocked off to put it rather vaguely.

So the hide in shadows will be "dispelled" once true sight is cast...but if you hide again and it's successful, another true sight will be needed to "dispell" your hide again. Without the cloak, I believe you are still detected from your presence and not actually them seeing you. I can't explain it better but someone else has and I've tried looking for the information to no avail.

That's why in the sewers now, I let the mage wear it in combination with the staff of magi. Insta-click re-invis/cloak seems to work alot better than hide in shadows/cloak. I'm still going thru the area multiple times however and this isn't concrete information.
I'ts just one of the explanations I can give/read about. I won't even bring up the walk silently part and how that can break invisibility for rogues while other characters with invis don't seem to have a walk silently skill yet can pass the same area that was giving the rogue difficulty.

The wearer of my cloak is immune to the effects "dispel invisibility" and "true sight"; those op-codes don't work against the wearer.

And perhaps you would like to share your wisdom?
I mean that cloack could have been so good and it is a total loss!

I don't understand the problem with the cloak. I use it on my ranger and I'm never detected if in stealth mode, even with true sight or dispel invisibilty. The only creatures that can see me are higher beings like dragons, demons, liches and such.
