I watched my cat run around the house like her tail was on fire, eyes all wide and freaked out about the fireworks.

lol I think Felix was trying to showcase a link with a rhetorical question, rather than actually ask. But since were doing it - got drunk and also watched my dogs flip out later on. Thunderstorms and fireworks are the two most traumatizing events for canines. Anything else, they don't give a shit about really.

Did the ritual meat burning in the back-yard and then settled down in the evening with a glass or two (or three) of wine and watched the neighborhood fireworks.

Cut various veggies for a platter, enjoyed the smell of homemade chili cooking in preperation for hotdogs and burgers accompanied by the aroma of a fresh peach pie in the oven. Then took all the affore mentioned goodies across the street to our neighbors and enjoyed some great food and company. Spent about 2 hours with my friend watching them play GTA:LC, and inFamous (I get more than my share of gaming between job applications). Then went out after sunset to watch the city fireworks over the rooftops. and set a few things on fire. Overall, it was a good day.

I knew that but isn't it nice to have a non-political thread here once in a while?
