Okay, might as well play. My choices might also have something to do with how fun these are to sing... For example, Dancing Mad isn't listed here. Anyway, in no particular order...

Fairytale of New York- The Pogues
If I Ever Leave This World Alive- Flogging Molly
Mr. Tanner- Harry Chapin
The Wild Rover- Irish folk song
Always True To You In My Fashion- Cole Porter (as sung by Ella Fitzgerald)

I feel like an old lady. Kids These Days, listening to their newfangled music while they text-message on their Eye-Pods. It's malarkey, I tells ya, malarkey!
I'm not sure how it is over there in the States, but Flogging Molly always draws a big teenage crowd here in Europe.

I was alluding more to the fact that I've seen a lot of this Popular Music stuff floating around on here. It seems out of place is all.

And as for Wellard, who always makes me laugh, you could ask me, or you could ask my 17 first cousins
PLAY THIS GAME. Seriously.

Opeth, despite being a death metal band, did a quite soft album a few years ago. You might even like the songs from it (example: (that is a quite soft song, but if you do end checking out other songs by Opeth, watch out, because they do play some pretty heavy death metal stuff too, which you'll probably not like )
I love that album, I often do my homework listening to Damnation in the late hours of the night. A couple of their other songs are softer too: Isolation Years, Harvest, Patterns in the Ivy, A Fair Judgement, Atonement, and Hours of Wealth are the other slow ones. There might be one or two from their first albums, I only have Ghost Reveries, Damnation, Blackwater Park, and Still Life to look through.

If you guys are looking for some more death metal, try some Scar Symmetry on for size, Reborn and Dominion are my favorites by them. Soilwork is another good, heavy band.

And really, nothing good is made any more? Listen to some Broken Social Scene, No Doubt, Neverending White Lights, Interpol, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Goo Goo Dolls, Brand New, etc. They didn't just stop making good music in the 90's onward, its just that technological advances and people with too much money allowed many more shitty acts to start producing music.

Edit: I don't think I'm allowed to post it but I have a link to watch Juno if you guys want to see it.
