NWN: update problem - Page 2

Larry may be on to something with the not getting all the files off. If you have a registry cleaner, then I'd run that after the uninstall, to make sure you're not in for any surprises. If you're really familiar with how the registry works, you could go and manually remove any NWN's entries, but I couldn't begin to tell you how to do that. Is there a possiblity that the chars you are trying to run in SoU are corrupted from one of the previous installs, or that they have .hak items from another module, that aren't loaded into your SoU install? I've had similar crashes that way, taking items that there are no references for into the OC's will crash them. That's about the only thing I can think of right now, but before you do the uninstall/reinstall, try making a new char for SoU, and see what happens.

Just an update, I too am running NWN's Platinum, and I have had to do a clean install. I started an SoU game to see what would happen, and I got in just fine, patched up to 1.68.
