Rand's wound is still present and uncurable too.

Wow you people has really analysed the book! Rand must die, I made a bet with my brother that he will die at the end of the series; ). Currently the amount riding on this wager is $40 with interest of $5 per month until the end of the series. Rand is DOOOOMED!!!
