I loved the video. Hehe

Now here's the thing. I agree with some of the people here. It's a PvP area.

I know it is a serious matter for the guild... but for others it isn't. This is the heart of MMORPG in my opinion. What may matter for one, may not for another. In my opinion that was a perfect ambush. Now they want to play the evil guy so they will... and they can.

I personally will pay respect to this, but some won't, and this what makes MMORPG the beauty that it is.

They're assholes, maybe. But they took advantage of an opportunity. Now I haven't played WoW, so I wouldn't know why they did it on a PvP area.

Sorry i'm with HIve and ZFR on this one. Haven't you all realised yet that THE main attraction of an MMORPG is the notoriety and fame you can get. Which is exactly what they got, everyone crying out for their ban and whispering them abusive messages are playing right into their hands.
Its a game and a pvp server and the internet = people are not directly responsible for alot of things they do as they stay anonymous, until this changes there will always be people out their looking fame by these retarded stunts.

There's also the fast that there are plenty of adult griefers. I'd even say that the worse ones are probably 18-25 or so.
I know that kind of server will never happen, and even if it did it would most certainly not eliminate the problem. I look at it as a necessary evil: If you want to play WoW on a PvP server then you're going to be dealing with asshats, gankers, griefers, and complete morons/idiots. (I'm sure it's that way with every other game, just seems WoW has the most. ) It's fact, it will always be that way, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. You still have to deal with the morons/idiots/asshats on a PvE server, but at least you aren't getting ganked and griefed.

My somewhat solution is to just not talk to 99% of the people on the server. I help people out if I can, but I don't go out of my way to try and make friends online, etc. I pretty much only talk to people I know in real life, guild mates, or people I am grouping with. There isn't a single character on my friends list that doesn't belong to a real life friend. That may seem like a strange way to play an online game, but it's pretty much the norm for me. I'm there to game, not waste time talking to a bunch of people I don't even know. That's what gaming forums are for.

Apparently Blizzard have seen it and have "no comment". Just read that last night.

Yeah, what T-D-C said.

Look, the problem with WoW, as opposed to the real world where that quote you thread-necromanced applies, is that in WoW people are hidden behind an alter ego. If they do vile evil little things, it's no big deal, for two reasons. (1) The only way for society to punish them is to attack them and kill them in-game, and that's exactly what they play the game for, so it only helps them. (2) The most they stand to lose from any "societal punishment" is the ability to play ONE character in ONE guild on ONE server in ONE game.

So, the whole "court of public opinion" thing doesn't quite work here.

But I give you props on your Arch-Threadnecromancy -- that's a level 38 resurrection at least.

I'm gonna come straight out and say I think the video is funny. I certainly don't agree with what those kids did, but I still think it's funny. It's a tragedy that the girl died in real life and I can understand her friends trying to show some respect to her by doing what they did, but they did it in the wrong place. You can't expect people to show respect to you and what you're doing or believe in.

And just for the record, I don't want to seem like I'm siding with the kids who messed things up either. It's certainly not something I'd do, no. They made themselves look like complete asses for this and it just shows how mature people in the world are.

Just my two cents.

Oh, and another thing. Not all kids on the Internet are immature brats. I'm 15 and I'm more mature then some of the older people, "Adults", that I've met on Guild Wars or in other online places. Not all of us young people are like that.
