if you talk to one of the villagers he will tell you a farmer found a gem and hid in the chicken and you can offer to pay for it, why did you kill his chickens

I talked to the villagers, heard about the farmer and his chickens, and bought them off him to see, found the gem, and then what?
It looks special, 'cause in the inventory, you can't put them in the same slots, as you can with other gems.

Keep that gem, then get a diamond. Go to the bridge district; one of the first houses you run into is empty, but has lots of tough traps (including a maze trap!). In a chest upstairs (in fact, in the chest with the maze trap) is a Horn of Valhalla. When you find it, it can summon a level 5 fighter (berserker). Take it to Waukeen's Promenade, and find the outdoor weapon merchant (he's on a wooden platform near the art merchant). If you engage him in conversation, he'll admit that he's no Cromwell, but he can do something he can't; he can make magical horns. He'll look at what you have, and use the diamond to upgrade the horn (summon level 7 fighter). Talk to him again, and he'll use the gem from Umar hills to upgrade the horn again (summon level 9 fighter).

If memory serves, then i think you can find another two berijuil (or whatever) gems later in the game.
