I'd have to agree with Firestormalpha, I looked at all the systems and picked gamecube because of the kiddiepoos. Nintendo has been good that way with games....

Yeah...i have a gamecube and most of the games are fairly "babyish" (for lack of a better word)...there are a few quality games such as Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Reqiuem (very scary) and Beyong Good and Evil. Both maybe not real suitable for kids (or weak-minded people) and hey, everyone loves that italian guy

Would anyone know whether the X-Box & PS2 have parental locks installed?

AFAIK PS2 doesn't have parental locks. Maybe PS3 will make that a posibility. From what I've heard (purely rumors), PS3 may initially be released in 2005. But as I've stated, that's only rumor.

Do you like playing on-line games?
If so I know X-box comes with a broadband, while PS2 you need an add on.

My girlfriend has a silver PS2 look cool and has the 2 controllers. Uses it mostly as a DVD player!
My uncle has a GC for his young son. He enjoys it.

If you want to use I'd go for PS2, if your kids want it and they are young go for the GC.
Again I'm not to keen on Microsoft so I'd not bother with X-box!!

Want to buy my dreamcast!! Boy that was a good investment!! ha ha.

my kids do not play games yet, my son is 5, but he has Cerebral palsay, so he does not ave the mental compacity it takes to lay, we have let him play on my SNES before, and he just cold nt fgure out how to do anything, as for the other 2, one is 3, and one is 2, so they are still a little young, and when they are old enough, they can use my N64, if I have not bought the GC by then
