I've heard you mention this method a couple of times GW, I dunno, it smells kinda cheesy to me...but that's just my opinion.

Maybe you could cast 'imprisonment' on him before entering spellhold and then 'freedom' in the same area afterwards... I dunno... would probably be the same as petrifying him...
