Anyone know if this is an issue with IE? This is a screen of NWvault and you can see there that the images on the left saying 'NEW' are not showing up (just the red Xed boxes). This happens in quite a few sites and they aren't all gif images either, they have been JPEG too. It happens sometimes here on IW too with the avatars not loading right. This only started recently btw. I have purged for spyware but to no avail.

Thing is, I can easily right-click on 'show picture' and it loads properly but it gets annoying and I can't figure out what is wrong. I have tried using netscape and browsing the same pages - no problems at all, so it seems to be IE. Any ideas?

Are you using broadband or dialup?

I dunno, but THANK YOU for copying that picture into another URL and then linking the image from there instead of Bioware's website!

I am sure you don't even need me to tell you why I am happy to see you do that. You rock, dude!

If you mean IW in place of Bioware then yeah I know what ya mean . I always upload then link when posting screens and convert to JPEG for faster loading times.

Thing is I can have nothing using bandwidth and each time I hit certain sites (such as NWvault) I get that crap. The system that has the problem runs on dial-up and has for about 2 years before this with no problems. This has been going on for about 2 months now. I thought maybe it coulda been a worm or a kink that gets into IE...

Take a look in your internet options... there's one there for automatically downloading images. Make sure it's checked. Something may have flipped it differently.

Alternately, if you're familiar with your own security settings, you could reset them to the default and then put yours back in. That would clear up any loose setting flags.

Pics on broadband connections + IE sometimes load up amazingly slowly, if at all. You have to keep refreshing and hope for the best. The developement of Explorer has been put on ice ages ago, unless Im mistaken.
