Most dangerous virus since the 9/11 attacks and why do u think so? I think the most deadly virus was the Lovesan/Msblast virus. I, unfortunatley, did not get the patch in time to prevent the virus and my pc started constantly giving me RPC controls errors and shutting down my pc after apx. 2 minutes after i turned it on...Fotunately, i got rid of it :-D

The only virus I have ever had was a jar file virus. Cleared it out in 5 seconds. I have never had any serious virus on my computer. Ever *knocks on wood*

I've never been hit by a virus. Never, in 15 years of computing. Mainly because I shun Micro$haft products - the people that wrote Outlook the way they did deserve to be shot.

On the topic of dangerous virii/trojans, Back Orifice or any of the Blaster varieties were probably the most dangerous - BO allowed anyone who knew about it to access your computer remotely, and the blaster worms invonvenienced everybody not just you with DoS attacks.

I haven´t ran across to anything dangerous in itself, but Blaster took some time go get rid of, because I needed to find the removal instructions from the internet, and the virus shut the browser down almost immeadiately after it was turned on.

Can anyone recommend a good FREE virus program? Not trials or anything.

yep go for mouses idea and get AVG. Ive used it for a while and it hasnt let in any virus's. Alternatively u can search for something like Trend PC Cillin and do the free online virus scans, theres lots of them around but id recommend AVG.

Never had any trouble with virus... therefore it's natural for me to assume that virus are claimed to exist only to draw attention away from real problems, like adware (viruses was claimed to exist long before adware was around just because the great evils was already devloping adwares).
