My knowledge of central London pubs is pretty basic to be fair - I only know the really cheap places! Frankly though, anything is fine with me. If we don't like where we end up then we can always move... there are quite a few pubs in London all told...

I *think* I can do this Saturday evening. If it becomes a problem then I'll let you know, but it should be fine.

I'm looking forward to this!

Completely off topic.

But how many of these apply to you guys? I got this in my e-mail today and a disturbing number apply to me... I've only lived here 2 years! Don't stay here too long Hiero! It'll happen to you too!

Signs you are a Cockney B**tard:

1. You say 'mate' constantly.
2. You think it is perfectly normal to pay over £3.00 for a pint.
3. Anyone not from London is a 'w**ker'.
4. Anyone from outside London and north of Watford is a 'northern w**ker'.
5. You have no idea where the north is.
6. You see All Saints in the Bar Med (again) and find it hard to get
excited about it.
7. The countryside makes you nervous.
8. Somebody speaks to you on the tube and you freak out thinking they are a
stalker.
9. American tourists no longer annoy you.
10. You talk in postcodes. "God, it was really warm round SW1 the other
day".
11. You can't remember the last time you got up to 30 mph in your car.
12. You didn't realise that 'Paddington Green' is REAL.

I can't do this Saturday.

Wondering if it would be a good idea to take the arrangements to PM rather than spamming up the board and using up bandwidth so us three can have a beer! Anyone else interested can PM me and I'll send them the details when it's finalised.

Heh heh. Right you are Laura. PM it is then

Barry - funny you should mention those cockney things. I've only been here 3 days now and I'm already picking up some of the London speech patterns, they coincide pretty close with Southern NZ speech actually.
Man, I love England! It's like going to the homeland y'know? So similar to NZ culture, yet so different as well. NZ is a pacific-ized Great Britain

Anyways, here's hoping we get a concensus on this meeting soon Looking foward to seeing you guys...

It's actually quite interesting reading this stuff...it's always a buzz when Ironworkers get together. Don't forget to take some photos.

OK, screw PM
How does 8pm on Sunday, meeting in Leicester Square in front of the Les Miserables theatre sound guys?
I have a day-trip on Sunday that gets back into Victoria at 7pm, thus 8 would suit me best.

Mem and Kathen - don't worry. I'll have my camera primed and ready for action
