QFT...I don't have a large budget for games, none actually, and I'd hate to splurge for something that really sucked. I'm waiting for reviews myself.

When I first came across this rumor I literally groaned. If this actually the case - and I emphasize if - then there is no way that this game will last. Oh, to be sure, there are enough fanboys out there to make the initial release and buying spree a success.

But Atari's name is attached to this game and we all know what happened to The Temple of Elemental Evil. They pressured for an early release and not only were there over 200 bugs and counting, Atari was highly resistant on releasing a first patch and basically dropped support afterwards. The "Official" second patch was actually designed by a Troika employee in his off hours and the Circle of Eight added their own.

Add to the current situation that Atari is in serious, serious financial straights and we have the possibility that they are hanging everything on this release for cash flow.

I will be waiting for two things to occur.

1. Reviews from IW gamers on its worth.
2. This semester to be over (December).
