I had an idea for a character and I'd like to share it so I can have some oppinions.
I was thinkin of starting a drow elf ranger wielding a two-bladed sword. Gonna give him tattoes so he looks like Darth Maul or something.
What do you think of this?
(It would be nice to know some good stats)

I like your idea very much! I can actually visualize the guy, and I certainly need to remember to not play any multis with you!

As far as stats...that would be hard for me to say, as I am not a stat expert...but it is obvious that he'd have an advantage over good-aligned rangers in using Stealth techniques...because he knows how to use shadows more, and the underdark is a quieter realm, so more effort would be focused on silent walking. Poisoned darts would be appropriate to use as a ranged weapon. His armor would be light and unhindering. Besides those, I really could not pop off any more ideas, here at work, unless I was looking at the options in front of me. Let me know how this guy comes out. I'd be interested in seeing him in action.

hmmm, playing a ranger with a double bladed sword would definetly be unique... If you want a more Darth-Maulish character there is a hak-pak that can be downloaded that adds several long sword blades designed to look like lightsabers...

Yes, that sounds like a good idea!! A drow ranger, dual wielder. Thats never been done before. And, and maybe he can have a panther, and dual wield scimatars!! I know, why dont you just call him...... DRIZZT DO'URDEN!!!!

Heh, well to be fair Drizzt didn't remind me of Darth Maul And a double sword is alot different than 2 scimitars. Reminds me more of the Klingon batlef Worf used to use.

The reference to an evil starwars character made me think of an evil-aligned character for this guy's idea. He'll also give him the two-bladed sword...not two separate weapons.

I thought that when I first read it too The world builder guide tells you how to make Drizzt's panther

I might take some rouge levels too...for some backstab...i guess I'll go for high dex...need to get my hands on a good portrait though...An ugly portrait takes alot of fun away.

As I recall Drizzt is good aligned. Are there any good double-longswords?

Is it possible to have ELF as favoured enemy? A drow hates regular elves so it might be the most resonable to choose.

Yes, it is possible to have elf as a favoured enemy. And I was just expressing my bitter sinical opinion about Drizzt. Although, rangers are meant to be a force of good. In BG2 and IWD2 you have to be a good alignment to be a ranger (but UNFORTUNATELY doesn't apply in NWN)
