Could be Frankfurt, Ramstein, a lot of places. I used to live in Germany. Back then there we tons of military bases, though they've been drawing down recently, my advice is that, if you can afford it, live off base in a nice German house I know back then you could get a brand new BMW for real cheap, but that was before the Euro and the Deutchmark was very weak...

My brother and his family were looking forward to being stationed in Germany. Of course he was cussing the place when he came back. He hated it.

Dude, how old are you ? The Euro has never really been weak, and has had a higher value then the US dollar for almost two years now. And the Deutschmark, well, there hasn't been a more stable currency in Europe over the past 40 or so years. The reason why a BMW is so cheap there, is because they make the friggin cars. But wait and see what happens at customs, when you try to take the car home with you.

Johnny the €uro IS weak, sad thing is, is that dollar is even weaker

And when I got to Germany in 1985 it was $1 = 3.45dm so yeah the Mark had its moments of being a crappy money as well, of course at the same time you could go to Greece or Italy for $100 and live there for a month!

Oh and the myth that BMWs are cheaper in Germany is B.S. you can buy a BMW in the US for alot less than over here. So Dizzy are you Army or Airforce? If your in the Army try to get stationed in Grafenwöhr ... You can play D&D with us
