I am quite annoyed with ebay.co.uk was bidding on an item, was winning the auction for 3 and a half days, then some utter git comes along and out bids me with 20seconds remaining!!!!!
Unfair?!!?!? But what can I do??

On ebay bidding always gets to go much faster near the end of the ending time for the items.

That suck, these people are called Ebaysnipers... they wait for an item to almost run out of time and then make their bid.

you could have set it up so you had an automatic bid increase if someone else bidded it up, you just set a maximum bid and you are automatically bidded up. Its simple to do.

Yeah, you're supposed to do what Ross says, that way, you'll always win the item provided nobody is prepared to pay more for it.

Two basic, and I think relatively widespred guidelines:

When selling on Ebay always start with the least amount your willing to part with the item for.

When buying put the most you are willing to and can pay.

if you have your maximum bid on the max of what you wanna bid, then you cant complain if someone overbid you
all is fair in love and ebay mate

anyway i wouldnt be surprised about that kinda thing, just make sure next time you follow my above guideline. The thing is everyone does that, sometimes items make £100s more in the last hour, its just the way it goes, everyone waits till the last minute to snap up the items so they dont have to pay more.
