My Computer Is Not in The Best Form, Its got computer flu methinks

Internet Explorer Refuses to open, Windows explorer refuses to open, and any browser of any kind refuses to open, and I have found ONE and only one way of browsing the internet.... Using Winamps Internal Browser, Yes, I Am surfing the net using winamp, and I have to say It is Pretty Poor!!!!

To cut a long story short, I will not be a very active forum member until this corrupt file on my computer is fixed.... I will try to drop in every now and then tho!!!!

Hmmm, It said that a file is corrupt in Internet explorer, Ive just downloaded IE6, installing in T Minus 5....4....3....2.....1....

250, Could you ask your friend what we should do, and also, did his computer have any other symptoms so to say, Ive seen alot of dodgy things on my PC recently, maybe i'll recognise some.

Do you have Norton Antivirus? It's a pretty good any-virus program, I could probably mail you the file if you are interested.

Only about 28kb.

basically, her symptoms are similar to yours

she was using AIM with me, then whenever she opens a window, her AIM is forced to log off. also, her connection gradually turns weak and died at the end. she could log on for 4 seconds then connection interrupted.

she called Tech Support, and they helped her fixed the problem in no time

Yes I Have Mr. Norton, We Found He's Alot Better Than Mr. Mcaffe.

Well, I do Think it could be a virus because when i hold down alt + tab (minimising and window flicking) there is a program running called A456E124F1...

I cant close it, minimise it or anything, it just sits there

I think we can safely assume that a virus is to blame, sounds like a nasty one when your antivirus programs can't nail it, I just hope you won't be forced to "Format C:", though it seems possible.

Yea, God knows where I got It from.... It sounds really bad just being called that!!! I just hope no-one else has to resort to browsing through winamp!!!

Update your virus definitions from www.symantec.com and scan ASAP!
