Anyone have any sense of what the 'control room' is for in the upper monestary? And for that matter, what are the computers for? And who are the Rapax assasins, anyway?

Far as I could tell, the rooms in the upper monastery (where you jump to cloak and get the lightning rod) have no special purpose. Possibly this is another unfinished quest in the game. I don't know for sure.
As for the King's Assassins, I recall reading somewhere that this was also another unfinished game quest. |

Spoiler
. . . . . . . . . . . . . Well, I don't know what the control room is for, but you can use it after ringing the bell, you can jump out of the broken window and land between the boxes (some nice stuff there? Can't actually remember...) Cheers Philipp

Pyrates:
There is one box which can only be opened from in between the boxes, but I can't exactly remember what items can be found there.

Yah, AC +2, SEN +5
King's Assassins faction rating is a bit of a joke, when you get the Queen's Key... |

I doubt it's just a joke. After all, there _are_ rapax assassins in the monster database.

Oh yes, often, but they were always cloaked, and never came out of their hiding unfortunately.

Or maybe they have 100 stealth and always use Chameleon and are immune to X Ray.
