Which is funnier? IMO South Park really takes it, Cartman is just hilarious, whereas Family Guy is for the most part a wee bit overrated.

Well South Park was great at first... the first 3 seasons or so... I only seen couple of episodes of Family guy and it just struck me as a Simpsons rip off... so I guess I'll say South Park

The first couple of seasons of Southpark were genarally great. Since then it has really been hit or miss. The humor has become almost completely "bathroom humor" and sophmoric jokes.

Family Guy really shines at parody and subtle humor which, I believe makes it better.

I like Family Guy better. When it first came out I watched it on Fox and never really got into it. Now, it's the only show that will make me laugh out loud. SP is good sometimes, not so good others, but has had a great run. Maybe getting older and having a kid made FG click...

In general though, I usually prefer Family Guy.

Perhaps, but just think of it for a minute - it's a Simpsons rip-off that's actually funny. When was the last time you actually laughed out loud continuously during a recent Simpsons episode?

While I don't really watch either, I'd have to say Family Guy. The few episodes I've watched were pretty funny!

I like Family Guy better than South Park. I was hooked after watching the first 10 minutes of the first episode. I never laughed so hard at a television show in my life. I was upset when Fox cancelled the show and overjoyed when Cartoon Network brought it back. I do have my favorite moments from SP--RESPECT MY AUTHORITIE and finding out how hard it is to be a Jew at Christmas. I have to admit that its easier to watch Family Guy than South Park at my house. I have 2 young sons and prefer not to expose them to the coarse, bathroom humor of SP. I can sit and watch Family guy and not worry about stray profanity flying around.

I used to like Family Guy much better, but the latest episodes of South Park have been so funny that I am beginning to change my mind. I'd still have to tip my hat to Family Guy though.
