Re: english premier league thread
What about Chelski? They will spend big and a new manager should get them playing well.
Man U and the Gunners play the 'best' football so I'm hoping they fight it out again...but my head tells me it will be a Chelski and Man U. If Ronaldo does go, 40+ goals is a lot to buy.

Re: english premier league thread
Man Utd were offered Sneijder or Robinho plus cash for Real Madrid. If i were them, I'd take the trade. Ronaldo is overrated. He is a very good player, but I think he lacks the quality to deliver consistantly during the big games. Plus Ronaldo can act like a child. Who knows what he will do when he is refused a trade.

Re: english premier league thread
He won't leave
8-1 even, yes *blushes* gave me up my season ticket 'cos of work so I get to see match of the day and the 60min match thing on Sky Sports...woo. I really like Arsenal. They always seem to dick us but it's usually a good game, and they do play good football. Rather them win (or most likely come second) than Chelski.

Re: english premier league thread
Euro Player of the Tournament on the move.
Manchester United and Liverpool could go head-to-head with old foe Jose Mourinho in the race to sign Xavi. The Barcelona star was voted Player of the Tournament for Spain in Euro 2008, and Spanish newspaper Marca claims that the two Premier League clubs and Mourinho's Inter Milan are looking to sign him.

Re: english premier league thread
Best teams were Spain, Holland and Russia impo.
And I'd agree with Senna as player of the tournament. But I was most impressed by Modric...shame they didnt get further.

Re: english premier league thread
I don't think Xavi will leave Barcelona, he's been there of so long now!
I didn't get to see enough of the games to pick a 'best player' but would have loved to have seen Spain paly Holland!! That IMO would have been a great game. Its a shame football can't get rid of those agents, they are destroying the game!!
