Hahaha! I was just thinking, people always talk about fighters, mages, paladins...oh, and since the thief is a necessity, you can't count them out! I was just wondrin', what are the classes of your player characters, and in your opinion, the least used class (Bounty Hunter, Sorcerer, the like).
Juz checkin out your opinions! |

a lot of specialty schools of mages are not used except for illusionist as well as necromancer... divination is not really useful during battles you know...

Well, I often like playing the more obscure characters. I went for the Monk first (though a lot like the Monk) Played all classes up to the end of the stronghold quests. I've actually been playing this time (my 4th right thru) with a Jester, and it's pretty cool.
I think though, even though it's a quirky character The Beastmaster would be rarely played. When I did the Ranger Stronghold I had two PCs: a Beastmaster, and his brother an Archer. The main put-off is that he can't use metal weapons. He's like a Druid/Ranger hybrid that can't use Scimitars. However, it did mean I spent a lot of time with less favoured weapons rather than the usual swords, either dual wielding Blackblood and another club, or wielding the staff of Rhynn or any elemental staffs and a longbow. Also he got monster summoning 1, 2 and 3 much earlier than a Druid or Mage. Though limiting it was fun. There's an earlier thread (now lost) where I detailed the immense damage a Bounty Hunter did in a game where I played four PC thieves specialising in one or two thief skills Human Swashbuckler (Pickpocket) Elven Assassin (Stealth) Human Bounty Hunter (Lay Traps/Illusion detection) Dwarven Fighter/Thief (Locksmith/Trap disarmer) A LOT of fun! |

The least used class eh? I'd Have to say Barbarian. Everyone wants all that specialization and junk. And plate and junk.

I have to agree that Jesters, Bards and the specialty mages are probably the most unused. Monks rate low as well along with my character. You see alot of dual classed Kensai Mages, but I play a pure Kensai.
I initially started as a Half Orc fighter, it took me forever to finally roll his dual 19's in strength and constitution. The guy was virtually invincible. I was also turned off at first by the Monk and Kensai's inability to wear armor. But being disenchanted with my superhuman killing machine I decided to go for a challenge and chose a pure Kensai. A choice I have not regretted. Just as those who chose to be Monks usually end up glad that they did. |

Sorry Ertai, I think you'll find the Sorcorer is widely used as well. I remember one fellow on this board ages ago saying you could solo with a Sorcorer, I think it was Melusine who advocated the the Sorcorer in an interesting thread a while back, I played one, so with you that's at least four I can think of offhand. I'm sure I'll remember others Sorcorers too late for this reply.
Why not try my suggestion of listing the class you'd least likely play. It'd be interesting to see who wins (loses). Speculation is too unreliable and contestable. For those who don't read thru all the replies, the class I'd least likely play was the Abjurer. |

Most unused? I'd have to say the Totemic Druid.
