Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

*
this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reptuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Hello Lioness! It must be rather early in the US, or? How are you? Cough got better (mines a bit better)? I'm beginning to wonder whether there's a job opening for a second waitress at the Cafe... since I spend alll my free time here anyway and it happens very often that when I'm here neither you nor Cloudy are here... what do you think?

LOL..Lioness, I was just about to do do the new thread, dear! We almost ended up with two again! Now THAT would confuse people... especially Moridin. I left him in the last one, sleeping....

Yeah, it's 7 here, I got up at 6:30 and couldn't fall back to sleep.

My cough is much better though. How are you?
You'll have to ask Cloudy about the waitressing, but it would be fine with me.

As I said, I'm a bit better... I wouldn't mind feeling fine all weekend and the having an unfortunate relapse Monday morning!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. YAHOO!! Autumn holidays start on the 1st of October! Thats not that long.... 3 weeks I think! Yippee! Then I'll be able to spend my entire time in IW forum! (I'm addicted). Hope everyone's fine and nobody else has been infected by the 'Internet Cough'

Yes, we get autumn holidays (Yahoo!) but we also get 6 weeks summer vacation as opposed to 10 weeks in the US

. Well actually I prefer it that way - you don't forget as much over the summer and your vacations are scattered equally throughout the year. That is, I prefer it that way when it isn't the 7th of August and I know that I have to go to school the next day and the Americans have 4 more weeks of school

. But right now I like the German method more!
