It is soooo sad to see how the mighty have fallen. Even your cricketers sledging is now ineffective. Witness this incident recently reported in "Scotland on Sunday" (a quality Sunday paper)

The most famous sledgers in the world came off second best on a recent trip to southern Africa. Eddo Brandes, the portly and ancient Zimbabwean, was facing a fired-up Glenn McGrath. When the batsman nicked the Aussie paceman over the slips for four, then hit the next delivery through the covers for four more, McGrath (as he does) glared at the batsman.

"Hey Brandes" he said "Why are you so fat?"

Brandes just looked at the Aussie. "Because every time I f**k your wife she gives me a biscuit" he replied.

Even the Aussies were reduced to tears of laughter

LOL, good one Mouse, although it looks like the names have been changed to protect the innocent. It's been many years since McGrath was in Zimbabwe .

And the good news is that a strange quirk of fate has handed me a prime ticket in a corporate box to go see the sold out Australia V South Africa game at the WACCA on Sunday. Hope to relate a wonderful tale of Aussie qualification for the cup final come Sunday night .
