Hey everyone, how's it going?
Just took a break from my homework to check in and see what's going on. And, since I know there are some really smart people in here, I thought that I may be able to get some help w/my homework while I'm here catching up. I'm working on balancing equations in high school chemistry and I just started (so bear with me). Got all of them but these last two: C3H6 + KMnO4 + H20 yields C3H8O2 + MnO2 + KOH & ZnSO4 + KI + KIO3 + H2O yields Zn5(OH)8SO4 + K2SO4 + I2 I'm sure they're really easy, so don't laugh. All the numbers are subscripts. Thanks, as always, for helping a dummy out. Love this forum and thanks in advance, Fast Hands

Youve got me stumped... Ive tried every technique I know to get them... so that leaves me with 2 questions...
1. Are you sure you copied the equations down correctly ?? Even a little addition/ removal of brackets can prevent balancing... 2. How long do you have until you have to hand this in ?? I may be able to ask one of my school teachers, but it will take until tommorow my time (currently 6:10 my time... hopefully u know how far ahead of/behind forum time you are!! ) |

Thanks for the welcome LennonCook but I've been around for a few months, just not able to check in often .
Thanks also to Lineage, that helped a lot!! Took my teacher 10 minutes to figure out the second one today in class when somebody asked what the answer was after we handed the worksheet in Fast Hands |
