I'm 99% sure A50 doesn't have GPRS - I think the cheapest Siemens model with GPRS is M50 at the price of 150 €. I myself have Siemens C55 which cost a bit more but has few more features and IMO nicer buttons. I plan to use it as a modem since 50 € per month for ADSL is bit too much for me. It won't be fast, but I can surf the net as much I like with only 17 € per month.

ps. A practical advice: if you use ring tones, don't have siren as one.

I think you're right. Personally I don´t need grps or java apps, I just read about it from a newspaper. "Wow" my phone has grps?!"
